WHAT IT IS:

Ilan’s Improv Clinic is designed for improvisers looking to crank their improv skills up a notch and get some performance practice. It’ll take place on the third Tuesday of every month (starting December 16th)

HOW IT WORKS:

The first half of each session will involve an exploration of one improv principle with guidance and personal feedback from Ilan. In the second half, you'll get up on stage with a randomly selected group of improvisers and perform a full set, trying to keep that principle from the first half in mind. The Improv Clinic provides the opportunity to take a deeper dive on certain core improv fundamentals, and the chance to put them into practice immediately in front of a sympathetic audience of your peers.

• $10 suggested donation at the door (nobody is turned away).
• 7-9pm at the Hangar Theatre (801 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca NY)
• Third Tuesday of every month (starting December 16th)

THE INSTRUCTOR:

Ilan Kaplan is a 14x Improv Cagematch NYC champion, former coach and member of improv house teams at the Magnet Theater, and co-founder of Funny's Improv gym in NYC. He holds an MFA in acting and has taught improv to thousands of students, from corporate clients to professional actors.
